Since 2017, more than 23,000 students from over 48 secondary schools have benefited from the Healthcare Bus. Students can gain insights into career options in healthcare and build awareness of various healthcare professions through the bus exhibits and game activities.
The bus will be parked in your school for 1 week from Monday to Friday. There will also be a healthcare trivia activity for your students, hence schools are strongly encouraged to schedule classes for the deployment week.
Career talks
Want a healthcare professional to speak at your school? Our nurses and allied health professionals can share their exciting experiences in healthcare with you. We can also set up a booth at your school events. Please write in to us at least two months in advance.
Learning journeys
Want an overview of Singapore's public healthcare landscape? Come with us on a learning journey that includes a tour of a healthcare institution and the chance to interact with healthcare professionals. Each learning journey takes two to three hours and can accommodate up to 30 students. Schools will need to arrange for transport to these institutions.
Working experience programme
Want a feel of the job? Students can get the opportunity to shadow a nurse in our public healthcare institutions. The programme can range from two hours to half a day and can accomodate five to six students. It is usually held over several days and over certain stipulated hours.
Please note that infection control protocol requires students to obtain the necessary immunisations.
