Overview

Ranked by the World Health Organisation as having one of the best healthcare systems in the world, Singapore’s status as a premier medical hub is set to grow especially with the rapid expansion of our biomedical sciences and research sectors. To meet the growing demand for healthcare services, we are actively seeking outstanding allied health professionals from all over the world to join us as we embark on our next phase of innovation-based and service-centric healthcare delivery. This is in line with the Health Ministry's direction to improve patient care by augmenting staff-to-patient ratio as well as to allocate more time to intensify our efforts on teaching and research.

In today’s robust healthcare system, allied health professionals are an integral part of the healthcare team, working alongside doctors and nurses in providing seamless continuum of care to the patients. Allied health professionals comprise Dieticians, Occupational Therapists, Pharmacists, Podiatrists, Physiotherapists, Prosthetists & Orthotists, Radiographers and Speech Therapists, among many others. On top of working as a team, the allied health professionals are regarded as experts in their fields of practice and are required to make independent assessments and decisions about the choice of treatment for the patients. Furthermore, they lead and supervise a group of technicians or assistants to perform procedures as part of the treatment plan specifically designed for each individual patient.

With seven Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited hospitals and eight specialty centres, Singapore’s public healthcare sector offers tremendous opportunities for interested candidates to develop their careers through comprehensive training and talent development.
