Job Description

You will be responsible for:

assessing patients with ear abnormalities and/or auditory disorders; make comprehensive audiological evaluations using specialised instruments and electronic equipment.
conducting habilitative and rehabilitative programs for the hearing handicapped and their family members, including counselling, auditory training, lip reading. You will also prescribe, evaluate and select appropriate hearing aids.
participating in scientific research related to auditory phenomena and provide education to other members of the healthcare team. You can also expect to contribute towards continuous quality improvement in the department and provide guidance to trainees and students.

Diagnostic Radiographers

Job Description

You will be responsible for:

performing radiographic examinations and produce images of diagnostic quality for radiological reports. When suitably trained, you will also perform advanced specialised radiological examinations, for example, CT and MRI scans.
assisting Radiologist in Fluoroscopy, Angiography and Interventional radiological procedures.
performing quality assurance procedures to ensure proper working of radiographic equipment and accessories with due regards to patient welfare, clinical responsibility, radiation protection and effective use of technology. Dieticians

Job Description

You will be responsible for:

all phases of nutrition care including nutrition assessment, diagnosis of dietary / nutritional problems, prescription of appropriate dietary treatment and nutrition care plan, monitoring and counselling of patients in a variety of settings.
providing education to patients and their family members or caregivers on nutrition and dietary requirement to increase awareness between nutrition and health/disease prevention.

Medical Social Workers

Job Description

You will be responsible for:

Collaborating with other professionals to provide bio-psychosocial assessment and social diagnosis of the patients/families. You will formulate and implement comprehensive bio-psychosocial treatment plans utilising appropriate clinical social work interventions to help them cope with crisis, hospitalisation, treatment, chronic illness rehabilitation, reintegration to society, life transitions, grief and bereavement. Interventions may include individual counselling, group counselling, family counselling, patients’ support groups, caregivers’ support groups and psycho-educational workshops.
assisting in the screening, social diagnosis and treatment of victims of abuse. You will be responsible for:

playing a crucial role in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease. Using sophisticated automated equipment and instruments, you will examine and analyse body fluids, tissues, and cells; look for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms; analyse the chemical content of fluids; match blood for transfusions; and test for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

Job Description

You will be responsible for:

performing objective and subjective eye examination to determine the type of refractive error so as to provide patients with the appropriate prescription for the use of getting vision corrective aids such as spectacles and contact lenses.
providing contact lens fitting assessment to determine the appropriate lens fit and also to deliver patient education on proper contact lens care and usage. You will also provide periphery diagnostic test such as corneal topography, ultrasound pachymetry and intraocular pressure for patients requiring cornea transparent or refractive surgery, and perform both contact and non-contact biometry assessment to determine the parameters required for intraocular implants and ultrasound B scans to elicit the presence of any intra-orbital abnormality.

Job Description

You will be responsible for:

providing a wide range of patient-oriented services to inpatients and outpatients. Besides dispensing and counselling patients on their medications, you will work closely with physicians to recommend and monitor patient drug therapy and provide drug information.
identifying, resolve and prevent drug related problems using your clinical knowledge, thus ensuring safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies for patients. Job Description

You will be responsible for:

assessment, measurement, design and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices and work closely with technicians during the fabrication process. The prosthetic patients seen at the weekly Amputee Clinic range from paediatrics to geriatrics and present with amputations resulting from DM, trauma and osteosarcoma. The orthotic service covers a diverse range of patients, including paediatric to rehabilitation clinics, Scoliosis treatment, polio, cranial moulding helmets and custom seating and wheelchairs.

Psychologists

Job Description

You will be responsible for:

providing clinical psychological services for both inpatients and outpatients within the psychiatric and medical services as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. You would assess, diagnose and intervene with people in dealing with life challenges, particularly those with relatively serious forms of psychological distress and/ or psychopathology.
psychometric assessments of cognitive, personality, emotional and neuropsychological functions in relatively serious forms of psychological distress and/ or psychopathology and consultation liaison work with other medical teams. Individual and group therapy will also be offered through the application of psychological interventions to individuals with psychiatric conditions.

Requirements

Master of Psychology in Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology or Forensic Psychology. Those with good Honours will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Preferably with 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience.
It will be an advantage if you are holding or are eligible for a valid registration, license or practising certificate with an established or recognised psychological professional body such as APA, APS or BPS.

Radiation Therapists

Job Description

You will be responsible for:

providing planned course of radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist, observing radiation safety measures and practice standards. You will also prepare and construct equipment such as immobilisation, treatment and protection devices.
performing simulations using a range of computerised simulation and treatment machines, and will conduct machine safety checks.

Respiratory Therapists

Job Description

You will be responsible for:

providing the basic and advance respiratory care services to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities in the cardio pulmonary system.
planning, implementing and evaluating diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services, emergency services and special procedures in the Intensive Care Units for patients to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardio-respiratory diseases and related disorders. Some of the respiratory therapy procedures that you will perform include management of patients on mechanical ventilator, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, assist in endotracheal intubations, arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, assist in bronchoscopy procedure, etc. You will also participate in the ward rounds with the medical team to review and discuss appropriate respiratory therapy for the patients.
